„Premium“ is written on a lot of doors in Vienna and means different things behind them: sometimes the interior, sometimes the address, sometimes only the price. From outside you can't tell them apart. From inside you can — by three things you can check in advance.
First: time
The one factor that can't be faked. A cut needs around 45 minutes if consultation, wash, line-ups and styling are part of it. A shop booking in quarter hours cannot deliver that, regardless of how the salon looks. The booking grid gives it away before your first visit.
Second: a price list without footnotes
Premium doesn't mean expensive, it means complete. If washing, styling, line-ups and the neck shave appear separately on the list, they aren't in the cut — and they're the first to go when the day is full. Here the haircut is €42 and everything belonging to the appointment is in it. Nothing follows afterwards.
Third: tools and signature
Line-ups with a straight razor rather than clippers — the difference holds about a week longer. Clippers from BaByliss and Wahl, a Dyson dryer, care from Reuzel and John Barber & Sons. Five senior barbers you can choose freely, each with their own signature. This isn't a range assembled for display; it's what gets used every day.
What premium doesn't mean here
No champagne, no catalogue leather armchairs, no surcharge for the address. We're on a side street in Leopoldstadt and not on the Graben, and that's a decision: what counts in the end is the time at the chair, not the rent underneath it.
