HAIRDRESSER VIENNA · ONYX CutsA hairdresser in Vienna where an hour is actually an hour
Vienna has over two thousand hairdressing businesses. The difference is rarely skill — it's how much time an appointment gets. Where the clock runs in quarter hours, the consultation disappears, washing becomes dampening, and nobody shows you the styling any more. We schedule 45 minutes per cut and keep them, even when somebody is waiting outside.
How to spot a hairdresser who takes time
By three things you can see before the appointment. First the booking grid: anyone offering only quarter-hour blocks online cannot cut for 45 minutes. Second, whether services are billed separately — if washing appears as its own line on the price list, it isn't in the cut and will be skipped when things get tight. Third the reviews, but not the score: 4.9 out of eighteen reviews means eighteen people were asked. It gets interesting from a few hundred.
What an appointment covers here
A consultation before the cut — we look at head shape, whorls and growth and say what works and what doesn't. Then the wash, because wet hair cuts more precisely. Then the cut, the line-ups with a straight razor, the styling and the answer to which product gets you the same result at home. Plus a drink. None of it appears as a surcharge.
Who we work for
For men who want a cut people notice without it looking like effort. From the classic scissor cut through fades and undercuts to colour and perms. We cut children's hair too. If it's your first time and you don't yet know what you want, bring a photo — it prevents more misunderstandings than any description.
Where we are and how to get here

Häufige Fragen
Was oft gefragt wird
What does a men's visit to the hairdresser cost in Vienna?
The haircut starts at €42 here, hair and beard together at €68. Consultation, wash, styling, product advice and a drink are included and not billed separately. Colour starts at €90, a perm at €160 — both with the complete haircut included.
Do I need an appointment?
An appointment is the safe option and takes two minutes online. Dropping in often works but isn't reliable — on Fridays and Saturdays rarely.
Do you cut women's hair?
Our craft is the men's cut and that's what we're set up for. For a short cut, colour or a perm women are welcome — give us a call and we'll say honestly whether we're the right address.
How far ahead should I book?
During the week one or two days is usually enough. For Friday afternoon and Saturday it pays to book a week ahead.
