The most common mistake a groom makes is timing: the cut on the wedding day itself. Freshly cut hair sits differently from hair that's settled, and line-ups are at their sharpest on the first day, which reads hard in photographs. Cut two or three days ahead and in the pictures you look like yourself — only better.
The trial appointment
Four to six weeks before the wedding. It isn't about a different cut but about setting the existing one so it stands right on the day — and about practising the styling. We show which product and how much of it, and write it down. Nobody wants to reconstruct that from memory on the morning.
The cut before the day
Two to three days before, not on the day itself. Hair and beard together, line-ups with the straight razor. In those two days the edge loses just enough sharpness to look natural in photographs, and the hair settles into its direction. If you wear a skin fade, go one day before — that grows out visibly faster.
The shave on the morning
The classic hot-towel wet shave on the wedding morning is the one thing that makes sense on the day itself — provided your skin already knows it. If you've never had one, try it at the trial appointment rather than for the first time on the day the photographs are taken.
Appointments outside our hours
Weddings are rarely on a Tuesday at 14:00. For the morning of the day we arrange special times, on a Sunday too if it can be managed. That runs through a short enquiry rather than the calendar — write to us and we'll find a solution.

When should I go to the barber before the wedding?
Two to three days before for cut and beard, not on the day itself. With a skin fade, one day before. The shave fits on the morning of the day.
Do I really need a trial appointment?
Recommended if it's your first time with us or you want to change something. If you know your cut and want to keep it, you can do without.
Do you do Sunday appointments?
Not as a rule — Sundays and public holidays are closed. For weddings we arrange exceptions as far as they can be managed.
What does it cost?
Hair and beard together €68, the classic shave €33. For special appointments outside opening hours we agree a clear price in advance so there's no surprise.
