The important thing first, because it often gets muddled: our courses are not vocational training in the sense of Austria's Berufsausbildungsgesetz. They replace neither an apprenticeship nor lead to a state-recognised qualification or a trade licence. What they are: teaching on a real head, evenings after closing, with correction on your own hand.
The difference between an apprenticeship and a course
The hairdressing apprenticeship in Austria runs three years, ends with a final examination and is the basis for the trade licence. A course cannot do that and doesn't claim to. It can do something else: work deliberately on one technique that never gets enough time in daily practice — the fade, say, or handling the straight razor.
Who the courses are for
Three groups. Beginners with no prior knowledge who want to know whether the craft is for them before starting an apprenticeship. Hairdressers moving over to men's cuts who are unsure about fades. And career changers who already cut and have reached a point where videos stop helping — because watching creates a feeling, not an ability.
How it's taught
Group evenings with four to six participants, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 19:00 to 21:00, in the working salon at the same chairs. Every course contains fixed one-to-one hours — not as an upsell, but because nobody learns clean blending in a group. For that somebody has to stand beside you, take the clipper out of your hand and put it back differently.
What you have afterwards
A confirmation of attendance with content, scope and an individual verification code that can be checked online. Deliberately not called a „certificate“: there is no examination here, and what we confirm is attendance. For an application, a portfolio and a client's trust it counts nonetheless — and anyone who convinces on the course is invited to a trial day in the working salon.

Is this a recognised barber qualification?
No. Our courses replace neither an apprenticeship nor training under the Berufsausbildungsgesetz and lead to no state-recognised qualification and no trade licence. They teach technique and practice.
What do the courses cost?
CUTS 101 is €2,290, CUTS PRO €1,990, a specialist module €790, the masterclass €890 and a single one-to-one hour €240 — €1,990 for a block of ten. All including VAT, use of tools and materials.
Do I need prior knowledge?
Not for CUTS 101. CUTS PRO requires CUTS 101 or demonstrated practice; the specialist modules are bookable without prerequisites.
When do the courses take place?
Evenings after closing, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 19:00 to 21:00. The included one-to-one hours we arrange around your calendar.
