We're always looking for good people, but not at any price and not in a stream. A salon with five chairs can't take turnover: whoever starts here should stay. So this page says honestly what we offer and what we expect, instead of a job ad full of slogans.
What we offer
Appointments of 45 minutes rather than 20 — here you can work rather than process. Free choice of barber also means clients come back to a person and not to a chair; if you're good, you see it in your calendar. Tools from BaByliss, Wahl and Dyson. And a team of five senior barbers where questions aren't a weakness.
What we expect
Craft you can see — a portfolio says more than any CV. Cleanliness at the station, because in a barbershop it isn't negotiable. German or English far enough that a consultation can happen. And the willingness to ask before cutting rather than simply starting; that's the part that's hardest to learn later.
How an application runs
A short email to [email protected] with a few photos of your work — fades and beard line-ups say the most. If it fits, we invite you to a trial day in the working salon: work alongside for a day, cut two or three heads, then both sides speak openly. No assessment, no essay. The trial day is paid.
Without experience too
If you're not there yet, the ONYX Academy is the route. Participants who convince on a course are invited to a trial day — non-binding for both sides. Attending a course is neither a job offer nor a requirement for applying, but afterwards we know you better than any CV would tell us.

Do you take apprentices?
Best to ask directly. An apprenticeship is a three-year promise in both directions, and we only make it when we can keep it.
What does a barber earn here?
Above the collective agreement; the exact figure we discuss in person — it depends on experience and hours. We name it at the trial day, not first in the contract.
