Vienna's second district has changed a great deal in a few years. A whole neighbourhood has grown up between Praterstern and the old Nordbahnhof, and with it a set of residents who no longer travel into the centre for a haircut. That's exactly where we've been since April 2026.
Where exactly
Nordbahnstraße 39/1A, between Am Tabor and the Nordbahnviertel. Trams 5 and O stop at Nordbahnstraße, about 150 metres away. From Praterstern with U1, U2 and the S-Bahn it's exactly one stop; on foot around ten minutes. If you drive, park at the BOE Garage Praterstern, Nordbahnstraße 49.
Why a neighbourhood shop works differently
If you cut hair in your own district, you meet your clients again in the supermarket. That changes the arithmetic: a cut that doesn't sit after two weeks costs you not an appointment but a neighbour. So we take time over the consultation and say when an idea won't work — cheaper in the long run than a satisfied face on the way out and an annoyed one three weeks later.

The BOE Garage Praterstern is at Nordbahnstraße 49, practically opposite. In the short-stay zone out front there's rarely a space during the day.
