Finding a barber in a city you have just moved to is mostly guesswork: the reviews are in a language you may not read, the price lists leave out what is included, and the photos look the same everywhere. Here is what we actually do, in plain terms — so you can decide before you walk in.
What a cut costs and what is included
A haircut is €42. That covers the consultation before we start, the wash, the cut itself, the line-ups drawn with a straight razor, the styling, a recommendation for what to use at home, and a drink. Nothing on that list is charged separately, and nothing is added at the till. Hair and beard together are €68, colour starts at €90 and a perm at €160 — with the full haircut included in both.
Nobody here is in a hurry
We plan 45 minutes for a haircut and we keep them, even when someone is waiting. That is the difference you feel: there is time to look at how your hair actually grows before the clippers start, and time at the end to show you how to get the same result yourself. Five senior barbers, and you pick yours when you book.
Getting here
Nordbahnstraße 39/1a, 1020 Vienna. Two minutes on foot from the Nordbahnstraße tram stop, one stop from Praterstern — where U1, U2, the S-Bahn and several bus lines meet. If you drive, the BOE Garage Praterstern at Nordbahnstraße 49 is about six minutes away on foot. Open Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 7 pm; closed Sundays and public holidays.
Language is not a problem
Our barbers work in German and English every day, and a photo settles the rest faster than any description — the same words mean different things in different countries. Bring one if you have a specific look in mind. Booking runs through Treatwell in English, and the confirmation arrives by email.

Do I need an appointment?
It is the safer option, and booking online takes two minutes. Walking in usually works during the week; on Friday afternoons and Saturdays it rarely does.
Do the barbers speak English?
Yes. We work in German and English every day. If you have a specific cut in mind, a photo helps more than words.
How much is a haircut in Vienna?
Across the city, roughly €20 to €70. With us it is €42, with everything included — the figure to compare is not the starting price but what ends up on the bill.
Can I pay by card?
Yes, debit and credit card as well as cash. Gift cards can be redeemed too; any remaining balance stays on the card.
