MENS PERM VIENNA · ONYX CutsPerm in Vienna — curl that's simply there in the morning
A perm on a man has little to do with the pictures from the eighties. Today it's usually about texture rather than ringlets: hair that can be shaped without every morning costing twenty minutes with a dryer. Whether that works comes down to rod size and hair structure — not to the product.
What actually happens
The hair is wound onto rods and the bonds inside it are chemically opened and closed again in the new shape. The smaller the rod, the tighter the curl. For the look most people mean — movement, not corkscrews — we work with larger rods and a shorter processing time. That's gentler and easier to control.
Which hair it works on
Best on healthy, not overly fine hair from about five centimetres in length. Shorter can't be wound. Heavily bleached or repeatedly coloured hair is delicate: the structure is already open, and a perm on top of that can overwhelm it. We look at it and say so before we start — not afterwards.
Cut included, care afterwards
From €160 the complete haircut is included, with consultation, wash, styling, recommendations and a drink. After the treatment the hair shouldn't be washed for 48 hours so the structure can set. After that a light product in towel-dried hair is enough; drying with a diffuser holds the shape better than rubbing.
Häufige Fragen
Was oft gefragt wird
What does a perm cost in Vienna?
From €160 here, complete haircut included — consultation, wash, cut, styling, recommendations and a drink are part of it.
How long does a perm last?
Three to six months, depending on hair structure and how often you wash. It grows out rather than suddenly disappearing.
Does it damage the hair?
Every perm opens the hair structure, there's no way around that. On healthy hair it's unproblematic. On heavily bleached or repeatedly coloured hair we advise against it — and say so before we start.
How long is the appointment?
Two to two and a half hours, including cut and styling. Please book in advance.
