ONYX Cuts is a barbershop on Nordbahnstraße — five barbers, one standard. We don't count chairs per hour, we count clients who come back. That's why a cut here takes forty to sixty minutes, and why the wash is always part of it.
If you take the craft seriously and want time with the client instead of a headcount, we should talk.

What you'll do
Advise
Head shape, hair growth, daily routine. Including when the honest answer is that an idea won't work.
Cut
Clipper, scissors, straight razor. From the classic men's cut to the skin fade.
Wash
With every cut, at no extra charge. Wet hair cuts more precisely, and it's part of the appointment.
Keep the day running
The salon only works if everyone pulls: set up the station, restock, step in when it gets busy.
What we expect
Punctuality
Appointments are booked. Ten minutes late moves the whole day — for everyone.
Loyalty
We're building something here and we share what we know. That works both ways or not at all.
Client-focused work
The client leaves satisfied, or we missed something. There is no third case.
German and/or English
Enough to hold a consultation. It doesn't have to be perfect — the team works in several languages anyway.
Several years' experience
With clipper AND scissors. A classic cut comes through our door as often as a fade, and both have to sit.
Cleanliness and hygiene
Disinfected tools, a clean station, a fresh towel. Not an added service — the baseline.
What we offer
Above the collective agreement
The collective-agreement minimum is 2.071,00 € gross per month in the first year of the profession and 2.287,00 € from the sixth (wage schedule effective 1 April 2026, full time). We are willing to pay above it, depending on experience and qualification — and we'll name a real figure.
Tools without compromise
High-end products and equipment, from the Dyson dryer to the care line. The tools shouldn't be what holds you back.
Your own station
Your chair, your lockable trolley. No sharing, no searching, nobody else's tools in your drawer.
Apple from day one
Apple devices and a tablet right at the start — for home as well.
Drinks on the house
Hot and cold, for you as much as for the client. Coffee isn't a special favour here.
Team events
We go out together now and then. Not as an agenda item, but because this team stands side by side for eight hours.
Flat hierarchy
We work as equals. If you have the better idea, say it — regardless of how long you've been here.
Five-day week
The salon is open six days, you work five. Not a perk, a decision: nobody lasts years in a job that has them standing every working day.
Training in house
The ONYX Cuts Academy runs in the same rooms. What's taught there is open to you — fades, straight razor, colour.

How to apply
No form, no cover letter. Send us an email with two sentences about yourself and a few pictures of your work — Instagram is fine. If it fits, we'll invite you to the salon, and you'll cut here once.
We treat every application confidentially and use it solely to fill this position. Documents that don't lead anywhere are deleted after six months — unless you tell us to keep them.
